So the ecu still monitors the intake temperature when in closed loop, running the O2 sensor. The when accelerating or full throttle when swaps to open loop this still reads. ???? As an aside is it only reading the temp where the additional sensor is placed or does it also modify to send a colder temp to ecu. If not why not just move the temp sensor (extend wiring) and blank off hole ? Your thoughts would be helpful. Cheers Brian
Hi Brian, Boosterplug include a lot of information on their website regarding how the product works - www.boosterplug.com/shop/cms-how-it-works.html as well as a detailed version if you really want to dig into it - www.boosterplug.com/shop/cms-how-it-works-full-version.html which explains things better than we possibly could! My understanding is that the Boosterplug is idle at points where it doesn't need to interfere with the fuel mixture - when the feedback from the Lambda sensor is utilised. The addition of the external temperature sensor on the Boosterplug allows the temperature to be modified in line with the environmental temperature. As I mention, they do a better job of explaining it than I do! If you were to move the temp sensor and blank off the Lambda port, your ECU wouldn't be getting the constant feedback from the exhaust to adjust the mixture, meaning you'd likely be running rich constantly.
@@MotorcyclePartsWarehouse Many thanks. Downloaded the book from booster plug. Have idea now on how works. Just waiting for bike to be returned from dealer, maybe in 2 to 3 weeks. Have 6 month old Honda GB350 (CB350 Hyness in India). Had a metallic knocking when over 2/3 throttle and over 3,700 rpm. Got worse as revs increased. Took back to dealer, then a letter to Honda Australia with print out of short term fuel, never above -8% and as rpm increase up to minus 20%. Hence looking at Booster Plug. Turned out to have had a partial seizure. I am very careful, ran in for first 1,000 ks never over 1/2 throttle and then increased load gradually. I’m almost 80. Think will put booster plug on and if trips code in ECU, clear with OBD Scanner and put in a series of double pole switches. Or a rotary switch. As this bike has Euro 5 and all the latest where ecu checks difference when cooling off. Cheers Brian
@@brianrobertson639 we spoke directly with Boosterplug regarding Euro 5 motorcycles, and they confirmed that due to the new emissions requirements it will give errors/warning lights when installed, but sounds like you have already looked into getting around that. Good luck with your GB350, we hope you get it running right!
@@MotorcyclePartsWarehouse Many thanks for reply. Bike currently in at Dealers waiting for a new barrel and piston. Has had a partial seizure. Interesting to see what caused it following pull down when parts arrive. At this stage I am thinking overheated due to to lean a mixture. In open loop goes to -20% when taps opened. Shall put a CHT on the same as my aircraft. I’m almost 80, not a rev head. Changed oil at 500 ks, 1,000 ks , 4,000 ks and 7,000. Run in never above 1/2 throttle for first 500 the short bursts to 1,000. Besides that ordered a Groom Honda booster plug. And have 3/double pole switches. Will start using booster plug and when finished bypass BP back to normal as bike cools. Failing that with just use OBD2 scanner to delete engine light before service. When up and running will keep you in the loop re CHT difference with and without. Plus open loop readings. Cheers for now Brian Australia
Do you recommend butterflies option?
Iam a Retro sprotsbike owner, love the look of these tyre. I just gonna put a green scaley wrap on the bike to match the tyre :D
nice!
do you guys still sell the mudguard kit as i can’t find it
I'm afraid it seems to be discontinued - we'll give you a heads up if there is a restock!
How did they hold up?
Incredibly well - just getting ready to fit the replacements now. Must have done about 12,000 miles on them since 2021. I'm not a particularly aggressive rider so your mileage may vary. Highly recommended though!
got them on my husky 701, can shred in the rain with them class tyre. way better than what i expected
Best guide on RUclips for fitting fairings. Thanks.
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful!
How do these affect your MOT?
Installing a Boosterplug shouldn't make a difference for the MOT - emissions are not checked for 2 wheelers, according to this gov page: www.gov.uk/emissions-testing#:~:text=Most%20vehicles%20have%20their%20exhaust,test%20it%20fails%20the%20MOT.
does this kit come with all screws? also do i need that mud gaurd metal plate to use this?
Hello - the kit does not come with screws or the metal plate from the mudguard. It is possible to reuse the plate from the original mudguard if you drill out the rivets. We replaced the rivets with bolts to make it easier to swap out. At one point there was a bolt kit in the pipeline...perhaps at some point in the future hopefully.
Thank you, I managed with your instructions 👌🏽
Hi! I have YZF R125 2017 And i bought the upper cockpit for the YZF R125 2014- 2016 Will it fit on my bike? I never fount any for the year 2017
Hello - the second generation YZF runs from 2014-2018, so you should be good with the one you bought! Any parts for 2014-2016 will fit the 2017 and 2018 bikes as well - hope that helps

Have you got rear rack for lexmoto titan 125 ?
we do, but it is out of stock at the moment! - motorcyclepartswarehouse.co.uk/parts-finder.html?find=lexmoto-titan-125-zn125t-8f-2019-9489&sid=5Ipv9fV31T&type=6801
Have you got rear rack for lexmoto titan 125 ?
I'm considering these for my Duke 390, i don't do off road but a lot of commuting and playing in the, not very grippy, roads around here. I'm willing to give up some grip for longevity, but i'm worrying about their feedback and handling. The "norm" around here are the Metz m5 & Brigdestones s22 but i'm afraid i will be eating them, esp. the rear, every few thousands of km
In my experience, the tyres have been excellent - though that is on tarmac! Longevity has been very good as well, though I wouldn't say they are the best on loose or muddy surfaces. Your experience may vary, but I'd recommend giving them a go.
Unfortuneatly they dont make a rear narrower than 150 which rules them out for many bikes! Come on Dunlop get your act together and make them in a full range of sizes!
I wanted to fit to my KTM Duke 390 , but was declined by my insurance company, any advice re UK motorcycle insurance companies that allow a booster plug??? Cheers Hugh
Why ask anyone permission? It's your property?
I use these tyres on my F750gs. The rain performance is amazing, very reassuring, even at high speeds, the only bad thing is that my fuel consumption increased by about 8%.
where can I get the cover for the back seat?
motorcyclepartswarehouse.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?cat=&q=MPW-R125-SSC - here's a couple of options for you
@@MotorcyclePartsWarehouse thank you, do you also ship to germany?
@@1trxps yes we do ship to Germany - if you select Germany and your state when you're in the shopping cart, it will show you the shipping costs
This looks like a keeper :) Thx
Chicken strips for days
would you say they "mutated" your bike for the better?
Heck yes they did! 100% recommend!
Great video! Ta
You found those glasses awfully quick! 😄 But I saw a review where he says it didn't do anything. I think because he didn't move the temperature probe far enough away from the engine like you did.
I wish someone who actually leans the bike over would review these tires.
😄
ruclips.net/video/UXu1JL8z2yM/видео.html
Why does that guy look and sound like Johnny Depp?
Three cheers for a quick concise video that forever erased the mystery of those little buggers.👍
These are the next tire going on my MT07.
snazzy
smart 😁
Is this the same for a 2013 model ?
Yes - 2008-2013 have the same panels. Slight update in styling between 2014-2018 but that is essentially the same too
Any thoughts about a ktm 1290 gt?
would have no reservations in recommending them 100% - looks like Fastbikes did a test on a superduke round the NC500 - www.cambriantyres.co.uk/fast-bikes-test-the-dunlop-mutant/
Would help if the actual mudguard bracket kit existed I just got my kit and it won't fully go on because yous don't supply the bracket kit
This is valid feedback, thanks. We do have a fitting kit in the pipeline. From memory, some M6x15 bolts and nyloc nuts are best for the mudguard bracket. You can use rivets like the OEM but that makes swapping in future more of a hassle.
A note about OEM tyres, they are rarely the actually tyre they claim to be. They are usually a cheaper version designed specifically to be shipped with bikes from the factory, and will perform worse than the same tyre bought separately - you can check the factory code on the sidewall.
100% - the downside for me is that I've been completely put off Bridgestone as a result!
Would a Booster plug be of any benefit to a Honda ADV 350 with a DNA or some other quality filter ?
Hi no the boosterplug is not designed for euro 5 bikes and they do not list one for your bike.
So glad I’ve found this video I’ve got a first gen 2011 model and I’ve been trying to figure out how to put it back together since I’m about to repaint as all the panels were cracked and scuffed so thank you
you're welcome - we are glad you found it helpful!
Thanks for the video. Do you know if you need to balance the wheels again after installing? Thank you in advance
Hello - you shouldn't need to balance the wheels again. The sensors are only 8 grams so we didn't notice any effect on wheel balance over years of usage.
God bless the people who continue to promote this fantastic sport... Would love to see Zane riding in the UK for the Gladiators
What size bolts were used for this ?
There are a range of sizes required, depending on where the fairing is fixed. We potentially have a fixing kit in the pipeline...you can re-use the original bolts for your fairing (if you have them) or some people also sell generic fairing bolt sets. We'll update you when/if the fitting kit is listed!
@@MotorcyclePartsWarehouse any idea of size of the self tappers used
@@dazpike3472 I believe they are M6...from memory there are also a few different lengths depending on whether it is for the fuel tank cover or infill panels. Hopefully we will have our fittings kit sorted within the next decade or two!
@@MotorcyclePartsWarehouse thanks alot !
Great vid
Brilliant. Was wondering about using a clamp. Wasn’t sure it needed it. 👍
Definitely gonna use this video to help me with mine!
Nice! Let us know how you get on
They look amazing on a retro or a sport bike. These are 100% my top choice for retro's. Motorcycles of old had more interesting tread than modern road tires so these look great.
Agreed! And they happen to work pretty well too!

aint nothing but a thing! cup/cradle/L-adapters are for you Nate! - motorcyclepartswarehouse.co.uk/mpw-race-dept-motorcycle-rear-paddock-stand-with-l-adapters-in-grey-orange.html
thank you.
So.............not a real filter at all just a sieve to get the big lumps out? £10 for the gasket to clean this? 🤔
This procedure is for the 2017-2020 Terrain - the Euro 5 version has a cartridge oil filter, which makes life a bit easier! At this point, any Euro 4 model will be outside of warranty so it is down to the owner if they want to go to the effort of cleaning the screen filter and fitting a new clutch gasket. Personally, I'd think about doing it every few years at least to check the condition of things inside the engine.
In the manual it says to put 850 ml and here 875🤔
Isn’t the centrifugal oil filter meant to be cleaned out too ?
Have on my GS Adv ,great 👍👍👍
